Celtic are closing in on a deal for Oh Hyeun-Gyu and Sky Sports now report the player has agreed personal terms ahead of the move.

Celtic moved quickly after the Cho Gue-Sung deal stalled and made an offer to Suwon Bluewings.

The club were reluctant to sell their striker but after four visits to the manager’s office, Hyeon was granted his wish to join Celtic.

Since then, the finer details of the deal have been thrashed out. A £2.5m fee and personal terms are all in the bag. It was also reported the player went through his medical over the weekend.

Celtic fans should get set for an announcement in the early part of the week.

Hyeun will becomes Celtic’s FOURTH January signing after the bhoys secured deals for Yuki Kobayashi, Tomoki Iwata and Alistair Johnston. All three players were signed before January.

The 21-year-old looks as if he’ll be a direct replacement for Giakoumakis who is currently weighing up a move away from Glasgow.
