A CELTIC PHYSIO was struck by a bottle at Ibrox when Celtic won 2-1 at the ground in April last season. He required urgent medical treatment after the incident and received stitches.

It wasn’t the only incident of the day, with another bottle thrown at Joe Hart’s goals smashing on the ground in and around the six-yard box. It caused some serious danger, but the groundstaff were confident that they had managed to clear the glass from the pitch, and the second half soon commenced.

Michael Nicholson has voiced his disappointment with the Ibrox club, with the Govan side saying the lack of CCTV in the area was used as an excuse. He assured those in attendance at the AGM that the matter would be discussed privately between the two clubs.

“I don’t know…I didn’t receive any update on how that got on the pitch. We were told there was no CCTV. It’s a poor show but we’ll discuss that with the club in question privately and appropriately.”

It’s disappointing that no action has been taken yet, months after the incident. A major incident could’ve taken place on the park that day, with both sets of players in danger.

  1. Utter garbage, no money for CCTV, no money for safety. Fithy stadium and the people who occupy the pit don’t care. Had it happened eleswhere the droves of SEVCO would be howling at the moon and calling for action. How
do these people exist. how can they HIDE every time they come under the spotlight. Conman Robertson is behind most of the problems they have.
Worst performance in Europe EVER, Hide from that you little slimebag Robertson.
