Ange Postecoglou has discussed the idea of more Lennoxtown arrivals being on the horizon as the club continues its much-needed, extensive rebuild.

In the aftermath of Saturday’s 2-0 victory over Motherwell, with several of his first-team options returning from injury, the 56-year old was quick to praise the addition of the new head of sports science, Anton McElhone.

Now, Ange looks to be eyeing more arrivals to the staff at Lennoxtown on the recruitment side of things, as he insists the club will not be rushed into making decisions, in order to find the right fit.

“We added Anton McElhone to our sports science department, which has been fantastic,” as quoted by the Daily Record.

“The support he has given to the medical and sports science department has been badly needed.

“So having Anton in has been brilliant, and now we are looking at other areas, especially around scouting and recruiting.

“We need people in there with the right expertise and who are the right fit for the club.

“We are planning towards that. We are not rushing to decisions because these people will be crucial to what we are trying to build.”

On the field, we made 12 additions during the summer, and by all accounts, Ange is already planning to make more in the winter window, with the former Socceroos boss discussing further business down the line.

It is good to see that as well as player additions; we are also putting more focus on adding more staff behind the scenes.

This rebuild was never going to happen instantly overnight. But it is also essential that we are seeing progress, and with comments like this from Ange, it finally looks to be that way.
