Giorgos Giakouamkis and Kyogo Furuhashi scored both of Celtic’s goals on Sunday after they opened a gap at the top of the table with a 2-0 win over Hearts.

The strikers are both of high quality and good enough to lead the line for the Hoops. However, with the system the manager uses, there is only room for one striker.

Kyogo has led the line so far this season, scoring first in Celtic’s last three games. Giakoumakis has also been brilliant coming off the bench and has gotten on the scoresheet a couple of times.

Postecoglou has spoken about the situation with the striker, praising the pair. [TheWest.com]

“I enjoy them wherever they come from but it’s great both of them got their goals. Both of them are working hard in training, both are quality strikers.

“Some of our service wasn’t great today in the final third but we know if we get the ball into those areas that both of them are very good finishers and have got a real presence in the box in different ways, different styles.

“They are non-negotiables for our football club, That’s the team we want to be and the boys have bought into that. Whether they are starting or not, they know that’s what they need to bring.

“I’ve got two real quality strikers that both deserve to start but I know what’s coming and they will both get plenty of game time.

“The important thing is they are both feeling good about themselves, they are both scoring goals, which is great, and we are going to need both of them.”

It’s a brilliant headache for the manager to have. He has two strikers who are capable of scoring goals week in, week out.

It has to be said, Giakouamkis is a brilliant impact player. The Greek striker can change the flow of the game, whereas Kyogo can’t influence the game in the same manner. That’s probably why Kyogo is getting the nod from the manager.
