Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou is relishing the ‘unbelievable’ atmosphere he is set to take in when his side returns to Hampden next month to take on Glasgow rivals Rangers in the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup.

The Hoops booked a third trip of the season to the countries national stadium on Monday evening, in the 3-0 win over Dundee United at Tannadice.

Having already tasted the atmosphere at Hampden Park this campaign, Postecoglou is looking forward to his return, sampling the brilliant reception the Celtic support brings, whilst also insisting there are some critical fixtures to come before the trip to Mount Florida next month.

“We are in it, and that’s the main thing,” he said as quoted by Glasgow Live.

“The prize tonight was a semi-final at Hampden. We have been there already, and it should be a cracking atmosphere. I am looking forward to it.

“It’s going to be great. I’ve had two trips to Hampden, and in both those games, the atmosphere was unbelievable. I’m sure it will be a great atmosphere again for that semi-final, but we’ve got a few games before that to focus on.”

It is an exciting prospect for the Celtic support as we gear up for a potentially crucial few weeks in the hunt for another treble in the first season of Ange Postecoglou as manager.

Those who are lucky enough to grab a ticket will be relishing the trip, as Ange and his players will be. But, as ever, the 56-year old remains focused on the task at hand, with crucial fixtures to come before heading to Hampden next month.

That stars with Ross County this weekend, as the Bhoys look to take the level of performance from last night’s win into Saturday’s league fixture, hoping to extend the lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership.
