Celtic have been handed a double injury boost ahead of this weekend fixture against Aberdeen as Ange Postecoglou confirmed that both Callum McGregor and Kyogo Furuhashi came through Thursday nights game unscathed.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the 56-year old confirmed that the duo would be available for Sunday’s crucial game at Pittodrie after making a surprise return to the side against Bayer Leverkusen on Thursday evening.

“The pleasing thing Postecoglou Receives Double Injury Boostis Kyogo and Cal got through it really well. That was really pleasing for us. We wanted to limit their time because they’ve been out, but they’ve pulled through really well.

“Everyone else is obviously a bit tired, and a little battered and bruised, physically and emotionally, but they’re all ready to go for Sunday, and we’ll have them all available.”

The two players have been missed massively after picking up injury knocks which have seen them ruled out of recent fixtures.

In short spells against Leverkusen, they showed exactly why they have been missed and Ange Postecoglou will be delighted to see them fighting fit heading into a must-win game away from home.

If we are to win at a tough venue like Pittodrie, Callum McGregor and Kyogo Furuhashi are likely to be front and centre of the success and fingers crossed we can see them continue to show the impact we all know they can.
