Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou has insisted he is relishing the challenge his side are set to face on their return to action next weekend when they take on Rangers at Ibrox.

It has been an impressive few months for this Celtic side, who have gone on a long unbeaten run, including a 3-0 win over Glasgow rivals Rangers, which has also led to them heading to the top of the Scottish Premiership.

Of course, the race for the title is still well and truly on with only three points gap between ourselves and Rangers.

However, next weekend could provide a pivotal moment in the season as both sides battle it out for three points to either stretch the lead at the top or go level after 90 minutes of football in Govan.

As quoted by Sun Sport, as always, Postecoglou won’t be changing his game plan as he relishes the challenges his side could face as they prepare for the huge game next Sunday.

“We definitely want to bring the same type of intensity and energy — we try and do that home and away.

“I think a key to the position we’re in is because away from home, we’re still taking the game to the opposition.

“We are still being really aggressive with our approach, which I think has helped us win a lot of games away from home.

“So that won’t change, but you just really don’t know what the opposition will bring.

“For us, we’ve been really good at overcoming the challenges before us.

“Whatever that might be in that game, hopefully within our football, we can find the solution.”

It is fair to say, after a difficult start to the campaign, Postecoglou has rejuvenated this side, which led to the brilliant run which Celtic fans have been enjoying alongside the entertaining football.

Looking back to August, during our last trip to Ibrox, we didn’t necessarily play poorly. But, this team is a completely different animal to that day and will now be confident going into this game.

The players now face the next week on the training ground, once they return from international duty, to prepare for a crucial fixture.
