Ange Postecoglou was again asked about sections of the Celtic support booing Leigh Griffiths at the weekend during the West Ham game.

The manager wasn’t up for giving the mainstream media any sort of headlines. He reiterated the Celtic fans are entitled to do what they want with regards to how they react to certain players. Ange still believes Leigh can turn the focus back to football if he gets his head down.

With regards to the striker’s absence in Denmark, the manager confirmed it was an injury picked up just before they team flew out.

Albian Ajeti has flown with the squad after missing the West Ham friendly due to a knock.

“In terms of the crowd response, Leigh is in the same position as all of us. We represent the football club and the supporters are there to judge us on how we perform and what we do. We have to accept any response we get from them.” Ange told RecordSport.

“For the most part Leigh still got a positive response from the crowd because they acknowledge the fact that he has had a very good career at Celtic and has contributed.

“If there are people who express dissatisfaction, it’s up to him to show with his performances and the way he goes about things, I am sure he can win them back very quickly.”

Celtic face a tough test in Denmark and have to go all out for the win with a very young defence and goalkeeper short of confidence.

The Hoops will have to be at their best to best the home team on the night.

Edouard started the first leg and we expect the same on Wednesday.

We have to take our chances when they come. Ajeti could come in later in the game and hopefully help the Hoops get over the line.
