In an intriguing development we believe Brendan Rodgers, was on a private flight that we have tracked from Mallorca to London on Monday afternoon.

This news follows hot on the heels of Stephen McGowan’s report that Michael Nicholson, Celtic’s chief executive, had met with Rodgers in Mallorca. The positive outcome of these initial discussions appears to have precipitated this next phase of negotiations. A trip to Dermot Desmond’s digs?

Rodgers’ potential return to Celtic Park comes on the heels of Ange Postecoglou’s departure after a successful treble-winning campaign.

However, Rodgers’ potential return isn’t without its caveats. While the current Celtic squad brims with talent that could benefit from his coaching, fans are still wary of his recruitment policies, and most importantly, the question of loyalty.

The Irishman’s abrupt departure to Leicester left a sour taste in many mouths, and it remains to be seen how this will play out if he does indeed return.

In spite of these reservations, the Celtic faithful will back whatever person comes in to take the job.

  1. I think you may be surprised at the amount of push back this will create. A lot of Celtic supporters will absolutely hate this and he can expect a luke warm response at best. He is a RAT. A two-faced liar who will leave at the drop of a hat, this time within a year as soon as a European job is offered. He also needs money. The amount of cash he wasted at LIverpool, countless poor signings (350 million) and the Leicester side he built has just became the most expensive side in History to be relegated. Of what use is this guy to us? Knutsen is exactly what we need not some cheque-book manager who is on the slide and that is the only reason he is even considering Celtic. He couldn’t get a job in England in 2016 and he can’t get a job now. Give the job to someone who actually wants it and let this rat find a job in Spain or Italy, where he really wants to be. Are they seriously thinking about replacing Kennedy with Scott Brown? Populist nonsense from DD. He appears to be what he is, a guy who shows up once every 3 years. Celtic are really going to ‘Celtic’ this. BR will leave for Spain as Rangers win the league and it will be back to square one. Although. Ange will be available then. Why not ask Davie Hay if this is the plan? In almost anything in life ‘You don’t go back!’ is the sensible option.

  2. Brendan Rodgers,if he becomes the next manager then so be it but let us make this clear he must not run when a bigger offer of money is put on the table from a smaller club team make him sign a 4 year deal, and with Celtic having a option of sacking him if he fails to deliver the number 1 spot of Scottish football..

If he thinks he can do the job then bring it on.how much money is never enough Brendan you could stay and be a legend at CELTIC FC….
