This past weekend was pivotal in the Scottish Premiership title race, with Celtic securing a victory over St Mirren and Rangers suffering a defeat at Ross County.

Celtic are now firmly in the driving seat, with Rangers chasing the defending champions.

No matter what the score is in Rangers’ game in hand, Celtic will go into the split leading the league.

During a conversation on BBC 606, Robbie Savage, prompted by Chris Sutton, shared his thoughts on the title dynamics following the weekend’s results.

Savage asserted, “It’s Celtic’s, Chris.

“It’s Celtic’s to lose now for me especially because Rangers have got to Celtic now and have got to win that game now as well as every other game.

“A draw wouldn’t be good enough.”

The draw in the recent Glasgow Derby, initially seen as a favourable result for Celtic, despite the Ibrox celebrations at fulltime, now appears even more advantageous to Celtic.

Rangers are now compelled to secure a victory at Parkhead, a daunting challenge, especially without the support of their travelling fans.

This late-season twist adds another layer of intensity to the Scottish Premiership’s climax, setting the stage for a thrilling conclusion to the campaign.
