It has been confirmed that Matthew MacDermid will be the man in the middle for the Celtic vs St Johnstone encounter on Saturday.
This appointment marks the first time MacDermid will be overseeing a match involving the Hoops, adding an extra layer of interest to the fixture. It’ll be interesting to see how he gets on.
Joining him in the officiating team and taking charge of the VAR will be Andrew Dallas. Dallas, a more familiar face in the Scottish football scene, has had his fair share of high-profile matches and will be tasked with ensuring that any contentious decisions are thoroughly reviewed and adjudicated upon correctly.
