It has been confirmed that Alan Muir and Kevin Clancy will be in the middle for Celtic’s next two matches against Hearts [Scottish FA].

The other important appointments will be that Nick Walsh and Willie Collum will be in charge of the VAR at the matches.

First up will be the team of Muir and Walsh as Celtic look to retain or extend their nine point advantage at the top of the Scottish Premiership.

Sunday’s 5-1 victory in Paisley was the Hoops 25th domestic match unbeaten as they continue on their quest to retain the league title. Once again, refereeing decisions overshadowed a fantastic performance from Postecoglou’s team.

An early penalty was awarded early on but there was a huge delay in giving it even though it was the right decision. Before half time, Charles Dunne saw red and after originally pointing to the spot, the referee overruled his own decision.

Elsewhere Collum who will be in charge of VAR in Celtic’s Scottish Cup tie at Tynecastle on Saturday had a very poor game at Ibrox much to the disappointment of the Killie support as he awarded the home side a penalty when the images couldn’t prove it and also wasn’t called to the VAR to look at a challenge from Allan McGregor.

VAR was at the centre of controversy when the league leaders last took on Hearts at Tynecastle back in October and it would be no surprise if there are further issues within both these matches.
