Former Celtic goalkeeper has made a sensational return to Poland with the club who sold him to the Scottish Champions all those years ago – Legia Warsaw.

Boruc, 40, confirmed the deal on his Instagram account after leaving Bournemouth this summer. The holy goalie didn’t play a minute for the relegated side last season and was itching to get back home and finish his career where it started.

Legia and Celtic have interesting history with the Polish club famously kicked out of Europe for fielding an ineligible player against the bhoys back when Ronny Deila was in charge.

Goalkeepers have the most longevity when it comes to careers and can continue playing into their 40s IF clubs see value in them.

Some supporters wanted to see Artur back at Celtic for the ten but that was never on the table. We wish the former Parkhead goalkeeper all the best.
