Turkish top-flight side Trabzonspor are lining up their replacement for Celtic-linked goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir, according to a report from Internethaber.

It is said that the club have reached an agreement with Manchester United’s Altay Budimir, who made the move to England from Fenerbache last summer.

The 26-year-old will ‘make up’ for the absence of Cakir, who is expected to leave Turkey at the end of the campaign.

At the moment, his destination remains unknown but Celtic have been heavily linked.

Michael Nicholson was said to have indicated the Hoops’ serious intent to sign the player but a £12.5m asking price has raised a few eyebrows. Interest from Saudi Arabia in Cakir also added to any doubts about a potential acquisition.

Despite this, Cakir will be on the move this summer and Celtic’s need for a new number one is undeniable.

The Turk has been the most concretely linked stopper to the Hoops recently, but there will likely be many more names over the coming months who are mentioned as potential Hart replacements.
