HATEM ABD ELHAMED has reportedly missed his side’s Euro qualifier this evening amid interest from Celtic.
The versatile defender who was linked with Celtic last week was not present during Hapoel Be’er Sheva’s 1-1 draw with Lac on Thursday evening with SunSport claiming the defender asked not to be selected.
Elhamed can play as a centre back and right back so he would slot in wherever needed in the Celtic side if he were to join the Scottish Champions.
Neil Lennon spoke about bringing in more cover at centre back but the club are also in desperate need of a right back. The signing of the Israeli could see two things taken care of.
If he was to come in, the club would still need a first choice right back, there’s no getting away from it.
Celtic look to have missed out on a number of targets this summer already.
