Reports today suggest that Celtic have been keeping tabs on Jordan Ayew as Brendan Rodgers looks to continue to strengthen his Celtic squad.

According to a close personal friend of Jordan, Celtic have shown a major interest in the attacker.

Speaking to the Daily Record Nana Oduro Sarfo noted that Jordan would be leaving Swansea this summer and Celtic had been in touch.

“Jordan has had offers from several clubs after Swansea City’s relegation last season. He will surely not play in the Championship with them.

“Liverpool have shown interest in him but Scottish side Celtic and their coach seem to be serious with their interest. I believe he may go to Scotland looking at how events are unfolding since they want to meet every demand.”

Jordan is a Ghanaian international and has played for Marseille as well as Aston Villa.

The star commanded a £10million fee when he moved to England with Villa but was sold for half that amount to Swansea in January.

The player is reluctant to play Championship football and he is the type of player Rodgers is after as he can play anywhere in a front three.

  1. I’m with you on this one James, build from the back, if the opposition don’t score you’ve at least got a point. We are whipping bhoys when we play in Europe and it is the inefficiencies in defence which causes the problems.

  2. We have enough striker options.Get some defensive reinforcements in,Decent Quality.Mon The HooPs there is only One Club can stop us achieving 10 In A Row,Ourselves!!!!
