Celtic don’t have to make wholesale changes in January and there will likely be more outs than ins when it comes to personnel.

The Celtic squad is bloated at present and there’s players within the club who have no chance of making the breakthrough under Neil Lennon.

One man who certainly falls under this category is Eboue Kouassi. Since returning to training after nearly a year out through injury the midfielder has not featured for Neil Lennon and doesn’t look close to getting into the first team.

Eboue was signed under Brendan Rodgers for a decent amount of cash and the transfer hasn’t worked out and looks less and less likely that it will.

If Football Insider is to be believed with their claim ‘Celtic Sources’ have told them the player wants to move on in January then the it could be Kouassi who is the first Celtic player out the door in January.

They write: ‘A Celtic source has told Football Insider the Ivorian is looking to move on from Parkhead either on loan or permanently.’

Celtic have a strong squad man for man and if you’re not in the reckoning by this part of the season it’s going to be very difficult to make an impact.
