Celtic have this week been linked with a move for Ismaila Soro who plays in Israel for Bnei Yehunda.

Their manager Yossi Abukasis has told any interested parties the player WOULD be for sale but would have to meet the club’s current valuation of the defensive midfielder.

“We will only sell Soro if we get an offer which matches our valuation.” Yossi told SunSport

“We know what he is worth. We know there is growing interest in him and a lot of European clubs have watched him, even just this week.”

The player’s valuation is said to be sitting around the £3m according to the same SunSport report.

Neil Lennon has said he’s not desperately in the market for a midfielder but as we seen from the Jeremie Frimpong transfer, if a deal becomes available for a good player, the manager is happy to jump on it even though we already had two right backs in the building.

Celtic do need cover in that area unless Lennon things Nir Bitton is the man to cover Scott Brown when he can’t play.

The player is certainly in Celtic’s price range and if they’re seriously looking at Soro, then you can be sure new head of recruitment Nicky Hammond will have a big say on if we move fore the player.
