BRENDAN RODGERS summed last weekend’s game up as a bit of a bore for fans after his side won a scrappy encounter away to Hamilton.

Ahead of the Glasgow Derby this weekend, the Irishman conceded that the surface made it difficult for his players to get the bit between their teeth and it was all a bit of a struggle.

“Once we got the goal early in the second half, it wasn’t the best spectacle for supporters, and I don’t think a lot of games are on that surface.” Rodgers told the Celtic View.

“It was just a case of completing the job.

“It’s difficult on the surface for the speed of the game, and it was probably a bit of a bore for supporters.”

Celtic are on the brink of another title and can seal their triumph after this weeks Scottish Cup Semi Final versus The Rangers.

Rodgers knows his side will have to up their game to reach the cup final and the Celtic boss is looking forward to it.

“I’m very excited, these are always tense games but in the main, we’ve always played well at Hampden.”
