BRENDAN RODGERS has revealed he told his players to stay away from all sources of football media this week ahead of the semi final.

The Irishman believes the hype surrounding the game can be off putting and hinder match preparation.

Speaking to the media ahead of Sunday, the Celtic manager was clear to his players.

“It’s important the players relax and stay focused and avoidance is a good way to do it. Avoid all the newspapers and media. There’s always plenty of hype in these games but no matter the occasion, we don’t need to magnify a Celtic v Rangers match, whatever the competition.”

Celtic go into this weekends game with the chance at a double treble still very much on.
