BRENDAN RODGERS has heaped praise on his Celtic captain by insisting the 32-years-old still has more great years to come, and they will be at Celtic.

Brown will be due a testimonial at the end of the season, serving the club for ten years which is something you see less and less of in football.

The Celtic manager spoke of Scott Brown’s contributions to the club and how last season catapulted the fiery midfielder into another echelon.

He said recently: “He’s done it over ten years here but what he did last season puts him alongside the greatest captains.”

“He’s still hungry and driven to keep winning and performing. You see the level he’s at.

“He’s turned 32 but is coming to an exciting period in his career. He’ll be around for another few years yet.”

It’s undeniable that the Celtic manager has a profound effect on Scott Brown since coming in and has gotten the best out of him where some managers have failed.

The skipper is set to sign a contract extension that will see him stay at the club ’til 2019.

Do you agree with Brendan Rodgers that Scott Brown is among the greatest Celtic captains?
