Celtic fans will get their fix of big Tom Rogic as the Australian crashed out of the Asian Cup tonight. There was a massive fuss before the player left as he was ruled out of the Glasgow Derby for international duty.

Celtic were lucky enough to be embarking on a winter break, so Rogic has missed four games for the four weeks he has been away. Tonight the United Arab Emirates made sure Rogic and his countryman were packing their bags after a tight 1-0 win. Big Tam was suspended for the game so he might be available on Wednesday night when Celtic take on St. Johnstone at Paradise.

UAE will now progress into the semi-final while the Australian players return back to their clubs. Rogic will come back to Celtic Park to meet up with three new faces. Oliver Burke and Timothy Weah have made an instant impact at Celtic with two goals each in their two games.

With a pile-up of domestic fixtures and a European tie against Valencia, the return of Rogic’s wizardry will be most welcome.
