Celtic have only been given an allowance of 9000 fans for their game against Midtjylland on Tuesday after requesting double from the Scottish government.
Hampden has a smaller capacity and housed more fans during the Euros. Murrayfield has a similar capacity and was afforded 16k by the government.
One fan points out Aberdeen have been given 27% of their capacity for their game next week while Celtic only get 14%.
Celtic SLO confirmed the club wanted more but there’s nothing they can do.
Obviously would have liked to have more and asked for more but have to go with what we have been given the go ahead for

Scotland goes to level 0 on Monday which means things relax even more. Celtic fans are upset the government are choosing to be cautious when it comes to club football after a summer of allowing bigger crowds elsewhere.
Here are some of the typical reactions on social media this afternoon:
Any fans in the ground is great to see but there was a potential for more to get in safely. We can only hope that restrictions ease of on August 9th as currently planned where we could see a next to full Celtic Park once again.
They’ll be like Willie Wonka tickets!
9000 is a joke.
I hope Celtic fans and football fans in general remember all the decisions taken against us by the SNP government when they come calling looking for independence votes They can forget mine.
So you prefer to vote unionist and be British because of the Scot Govt has prioritised the health of the country over football? Wise up FFS
“the health of the country”
From a ”virus” with 98.7% recovery rate and a ‘vaccine’ that does not prevent infection or transmission. . . .. . .
Is that what you are referring to?
People are hardly dying in the streets.
According to statistics more people died in the 5 years previous than in 2020.
But hey!
Hilarious stuff.
Well said my man.
You sir are a moron if you base voting for independence or not on a football allegiance or dislike of certain snp decisions or policies, thankfully most Celtic fans are not like you and see the big picture
