Former Celtic captain Scott Brown joined in the celebration of Celtic’s emphatic victory in the Glasgow Derby, taking to Instagram to express his confidence in the team’s performance.

Post match, on instagram, he claimed the win was “never in doubt”.

He had been confident of the win on Sky Sports while covering the Boxing Day win.

Conversations among the fanbase have sparked regarding Brown’s potential return to the club in a coaching role. With current coach Harry Kewell set to depart for Yokohama F. Marinos, many supporters are openly expressing their desire to see Brown take up a coaching mantle at Celtic.

Celtic’s triumph in the Derby has significantly strengthened their lead in the competition, now sitting eight points clear of their closest rivals, Rangers. The victory was marked by stellar performances, with goals from Paulo Bernardo and Kyogo Furuhashi sealing Celtic’s second Glasgow Derby win of the season.   1. Good win from team that started, very concerned with the substitution of Bernardo bt Turnbull.
    Bernardo has improved a lot.
    I’m afraid Turnbull is not good enough.

    Also concerned with the substitution of Palma, even though Palma can still improve, Mikey Johnston is not going to make it.

    Nawrocki fitted in well when replacing Welsh, he had some strong challenges, he needs to learn from CCV on how to defend without getting wrong sided by attacker, however fair bit of promise.
    I do like Welsh.
    Abada has been missed and not yet ready to compete.
    Maeda as usual not good with passing, however his covering is amazing, he’s a better full back than the ones we have.
    Can’t fault the rest of the team.
    Hart though should have a better wall set up than he does..
