Celtic came away from Parkhead with a deserved 2-1 win over their city rivals Rangers on Saturday. It was a fully deserved victory for the Hoops.

Goals from Paulo Bernardo and Kyogo were enough for the hosts, and with his strike, the former made it two in two.

Post-match, Bernardo has hailed the Celtic supporters: “The fans were crazy and pushed us on today”, he said (Sky Sports). “With the victory it is so much fun. My job is to do my best and it is nice to score goals and help the team to the victory.”

Today, the Portuguese under-21 internationalist certainly aided his side in securing the three points. He fully deserved his place in the lineup today, and yet again, grasped the opportunity with both hands.

There may not be talk of it yet, although it wouldn’t be surprising to see some Celtic fans call for the club to sign-up yet another Portuguese superstar loanee from Benfica permanently.

The 21-year-old has captured the imagination with his recent displays and despite the fact Reo Hatate is back fit, the place in the engine room is Bernardo’s to lose.

  1. Yes brilliant goal but should have had more on the tackle on goldson kick him and try to get him sent of Celtic tried to lose this one but I agree with Rodgers the pitch was not up to £2,000,000 we payed for it snow coming hours before game didn’t help Celtic to stop shooting there self in foot a if we were playing better team we would have lost poor pass backward by Johnstone Welsh didn’t need to over commit and dislocate his shoulder maybe johnstone needs a break looked tired maybe the reason for passback
