It was reported on Monday there was a meeting between all 42 clubs about what would happen if the season couldn’t be finished like last year.

The civil war that broke out when football was nothing short of embarrassing, one club averaging a statement a day it felt like.

We finally did have an acceptance the games could not be played and Celtic had a mammoth lead at the top of the table so the only correct thing to do was to call the league and deliver Celtic the title they won on the pitch. EVERY top-flight club voted for the season to end – lest we forget.

However, this time around, there’s nothing in place should the league be stopped or unable to continue.

BBC report the 42 clubs have been asked to be consulted about promotions and relegations – not allowing the SPFL to take matters into their own hands at board level.
