Serie A side Torino are the latest side to be linked with Celtic defender Josip Juranovic [Daily Record].
It is becoming increasingly likely that the 27-year-old will leave the Scottish champions this summer as there are a number of clubs reportedly interested in signing the defender as the Italian side are said to have made ‘contact’. [Gianluca Dimarzio].
Rumours first emerged about the former Legia Warsaw star when he was linked to moves to Manchester United and Atletico Madrid in the summer but it made sense for the Celtic to keep ahold of his services as his stock was only likely to rise after competing in both the World Cup and Champions League.
Having now reached the semi final of the World Cup, Celtic will be able to increase their asking price for the fullback having been a standout against tournament favourites Brazil in the previous round.
It was reported that Barcelona were now said to be interested in the defender alongside rivals Atletico Madrid having sent a scout to watch the Croatian international take on Brazil in the quarter final.
There is nothing concrete currently on the table from Torino but the fact there is so much interest in Juranovic is all the better for Celtic who are in full control of the situation as the defender is contracted to the club until 2026.
Whether Joe leaves in the 1st of Jan 2023 or not, don’t see him or the other players who want a move to pastures new.
