DEREK MCINNES has been charged by the SFA for his actions during the Scottish Cup semi-final last Sunday after he appeared to make a gesture towards the Celtic fans.
McInnes stated he was reacting to ‘sectarian singing’ aimed at him from the stands when he lost the plot.
The SFA have finally got around to the charge after the manager was sent to the stands on the day when the fourth official caught him making the gesture.
Another charge on a day where Celtic players were subjected to some very robust challenges. Ryan Christie had his season ended after a late challenge by Dominic ball left him with multiple facial fractures. Tom Rogic was lucky to escape a bad injury when Lewis Ferguson lunged at him with a two-footed tackle. Ferguson was rightfully sent off by Craig Thompson at the time.
Celtic ran out 3-0 winners on the day at a canter, with Aberdeen offering very little.
