SCOTT SINCLAIR made the move from Celtic to Preston on Wednesday night, bringing the curtain down on his three and a half year spell in Glasgow.

There was mixed emotion from the support who were sad to see him go with some accepting it was time for the Englishman to leave while others were angry he had slipped so far down the pecking order at Celtic prompting the move.

The player himself has remained very quiet on the transfer so far and has not used his social media to send a message to the Celtic support as of yet.

All we have is a few quotes from Preston’s website on why he had chose to join Preston.

“I have had a fantastic three-and-half-years with Celtic, we did the treble-treble, I got the PFA player of the year, scored goals and was top goalscorer, but now it is a new chapter for me. I am coming here to improve and to help the team push for promotion.” Sinclair told Preston’s Official Website.

In the fullness of time, we should get a better picture of why the player fell out of favour at Celtic Park and why the player went from wanting to stay to try and win ten in a row to a very quiet departure to Preston on a cold January night.

The impact Sinclair has had on Celtic in the three and a half years he was at the club is incredible and his legacy as a treble treble winner is cemented.
