CHRIS SUTTON has congratulated Celtic’s Glasgow rivals but with a very necessary caveat.
The banner invincible was put on an image by BT Sports after the ibroix side lofted the league trophy, going a whole season in the league unbeaten. A difficult thing to do, of course, but when it comes to invincibles in Scotland, there’s only one club worth talking about.
Incredible achievement by Steven Gerrard and Rangers?? The League Invincibles. Just for the record though the real Invincibles were Brendan Rodgers Celtic 2016/17???… well played though… https://t.co/w8LegKUJrO

Sutton is quite right to point this out. Whether their supporters like it or not, they had another two cups there for the taking and they absolutely blew it. Their failure to win even a double just puts our achievement under Brendan Rodgers into sharp focus.
It’s not an easy thing to do and to take home three trophies in one season while not getting beat once is truly remarkable. As always, they remain in our shadow.
Celtic are the record breakers, a club that’s done nine in a row twice, won the European Cup and managed to stave off liquidation. Our rivals can lay claim to none of that.
