Sutton Trolls Boyd Over Masters Shockers

Football is more than just a game in Scotland; it’s a theatre of emotions, rivalries and banter that often spills over from the pitch to the pundits’ table.

One such rivalry that has been keeping fans entertained is between former players turned pundits, Chris Sutton and Kris Boyd. Recently, Sutton couldn’t resist taking a cheeky dig at Boyd on Twitter, much to the delight of Celtic fans.

The incident unfolded at the Masters event at Braehead, where Boyd was representing Rangers. During the tournament, Boyd found himself in a promising position and attempted a chip shot against Dorus de Vries who was in goals for Celtic.

Unfortunately for him, the shot went horribly wrong, sailing well over the bar and into the crowd. This blunder was met with delight from the Celtic faithful, who seized the opportunity to taunt Boyd with Sebo chants.

Never one to shy away from a bit of banter, Sutton took this golden opportunity to troll Boyd. He shared the video of the failed chip shot on his Twitter page, adding the cheeky comment, “Closer than I thought from Boydy…” The tweet was a hit among Celtic fans.

Both Sutton and Boyd have been serving as pundits for Sky Sports’ Scottish football coverage this season. The highlight has been Chris Sutton getting Kris to bite and generally have him on the back foot after Celtic beat The Rangers at Ibrox.

Boyd has been unchallenged at Sky Sports with some of his biased opinions, and Chris Sutton is now calling some of it out.
