Celtic Women were victorious yet again on Sunday as they continued their perfect start to the league season. Against Partick Thistle, the Ghirls ran out 3-0 winners.

For Fran Alonso’s side, Paula Partido, Murphy Agnew, and Chloe Craig all scored to maintain their 100% record in the SWPL this season. So far in 2023/24, the Ghirls have won every one of their ten league games and sit top of the table:

After defeating Thistle, the Women have closest rivals Rangers up next. The first Glasgow Derby of the season in the SWPL takes place this Sunday at midday, and Alonso’s team will be eager to extend their existing two-point lead over the Gers.

A victory would be notable and put testament to the Celts’ sensational start to the 2023/24 campaign. Although they were knocked out of Europe, the Ghirls have been nothing but exceptional domestically as they aim to win their maiden SWPL crown.
