With the absence of any information about what’s going on – we are still waiting on the debut of deadline day singing Greg Taylor.

Is he injured? Has Neil Lennon purposely held him back until he gets up to speed with the rest of the side?

It’s bizarre when you think Jeremie Frimpong came in to play for the Celtic developmental side on the same day as Taylor who came in for first team duty and it’s Jeremie who has made his debut first. Granted, Taylor was cup tied for the Partick Thistle game in which Jeremie featured.

Taylor has only played five games so far this season and his last outing was against Hamilton when Kilmarnock were beaten 2-0 back in August. He sat out the next two Kilmarnock games before his move to Celtic materialised and he signed on the dotted line.

Since signing – the lad has been on the bench one time, against Kilmarnock at Celtic Park but didn’t get on that day.

As we now enter another international week we are no closer to the defender’s debut. You would think Neil Lennon would want to give Boli a rest at some point and just freshen up the side a little.

I’m sure we’ll find out in due course what’s been going on or any niggling injuries Greg might have lingering. Other than that, he’s surely poised to make his debut in the next run of Celtic fixtures. With Celtic fighting in three fronts – and with four home SPFL games out of the next five, there’s something wrong if he doesn’t get some sort of outing.
