PFA Scotland announced its team of the year for the 2022/23 season on Tuesday afternoon and it is fair to say Celtic were dominative.

Seven of Ange Postecoglou’s men were included in the eleven in Joe Hart, Carl Starfelt, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Greg Taylor, Callum McGregor, Reo Hatate and Kyogo.

One notable absentee from the team, though, was Jota.

The Portuguese has proved his worth to Celtic all season, netting several big goals and setting up numerous opportunities.

It appears, however, that Malik Tillman has been picked ahead of him in the PFA Team of the Year.

This is rather memorising when you consider that the American has 14 goal contributions in the league this campaign compared to Jota’s 21.

Moreover, the Hoops winger has played less minutes than the 20 year old in 2022/23.

Despite this, it is vastly positive for Celtic that they have seven squad members in the team that has been voted for by the players in Scotland.
