Overall, it was a massively disappointing display on Saturday from Celtic.
The Bhoys failed to net in a goalless stalemate against a St. Johnstone side who had lost five of their previous six going into the game.
There were very few positives to take from the match. The Hoops’ football was lethargic; usual star players didn’t show up, and certain supporters booed the team off the park. South Korean winger Yang’s performance, however, was a plus point.
Making his maiden start for the champions, the 21-year-old caught the eye. On the left-hand side, Yang showed several flashes of flamboyance. He constantly looked to run at his man from out wide and was only positive in his play.
The man who was signed from Gangwon FC this summer disclosed his clear potential at the weekend. Going forward, he can be a key contributor for the Hoops, although Brendan Rodgers’ decision to bring him off for James Forrest on 68 minutes when the hosts were chasing a goal yesterday was rather questionable.
It be nice to see yang cut inside at times but looks the part I’m sure we will see a better performance at ibrox
