AFTER Bobby Madden blew his whistle for the final time, Callum McGregor brought the players together and started the huddle.

The action went unnoticed, with many fans not realising this took place. After a disappointing result, the captain was keen to unite the players before returning to the dressing room.

He wanted to reinforce the message to go again next week. The captain told Celtic Fan Media;

“Absolutely. We have had a great season so far and we are in a really positive position with five games to go it’s important we do not let one result affect the whole season as we have put ourselves in a really good position with a lot of hard work, sacrifice, dedication and a lot of good football and a lot of strength within the group.

“It is important that we don’t lose that and these types of games cup semi-finals are always on a knife-edge and can go either way.

“We are disappointed that changing room is not a good place but we have to put that out of our mind and we can still make it a very successful season for the club and ourselves as a group and that will help us grow.

“It is important that we don’t get too downbeat and let everything fall apart after one bad result.

“We will learn from it and we have to show what we are about next week and that becomes our biggest game of the season as we have to go there and win.”

The captain will look to set an example for his teammates. He was top class again today, dictating play in the middle of the park.

He will lead his team out in Dingwall next week as he looks for a reaction from his teammates.

In his first season as captain, he has impressed many fans. Fans were concerned that Callum wouldn’t be able to fill the role, but he has. He’s a credit to the club and knows it means to pull on the jersey and armband every week.

Cal’s got the respect from his teammates, who look up to him. He also has the support from other players, like Joe Hart, who use their experience to lead the team.
