JONNY HAYES has been speaking about his captain during the international break and jokingly declared there’s ‘something wrong’ with the Celtic captain as every year he seems to get better despite his advancing years in the game.

Hayes, who is currently enjoying his best run of games and form as a Celtic player has praised his captain and revealed the two sides of Broony. From lovable rogue to serious smashmouth – the midfielder knows when to flick the switch and when he does it’s a joy to watch.

There are not many Celtic supporters who would argue that Scott Brown hasn’t enjoyed his best run of form in a Celtic shirt over the past three or four seasons. The central midfielder is irreplaceable on the field and by the way Jonny Hayes describes Scott, he is even more irreplaceable off it.

“I think Broony will tell you himself, he pushes himself that little bit more every year, so that he can stay at the top of the tree. There’s definitely something wrong with him.” Hayes Joked with the Celtic View.

“We have a bit of banter with him being a bit older, but I’ve never seen a player of his age with that level of his fitness. His enthusiasm is incredible.

“He’s a dressing room prankster, but, when it’s time to be serious, he’s the most serious guy in there. He’s also infectious, and his work ethic spills over into the rest of the squad.”

The bhoys are reassembling at Lennoxtown after the international week and Brown will now look to help spearhead’s Celtic assault in three competitions over the next six weeks.
