PATRICK ROBERTS looks to have kick started his Girona career in Spain over the past three games with the former Celt starting the Spanish club’s last three games which have resulted in two wins and one draw.

Since getting into the starting XI Girona have beaten Valencia away, drawn with CD Leganés at home and now helped them with a win over Espanyol.

Sunday night’s win puts Girona on the same points as Real Madrid in La Liga with both clubs sitting on 20 for the season so far.

Girona and Madrid are both six points off the top of the La Liga table where Sevilla sit and five points off second place Barcelona.

The Englishman has had to bide his time to get into the team but looks to be kicking on for sure now.

Since making the move from Manchester City the double treble winner has nine appearances; six from the bench and now these three starts.

There were rumours linking the midfielder with an early return to Manchester but this looks to be on the back burner now.
