CELTIC fans would be confident going into a game against Hearts under most circumstances but Thursday’s Europa League result for the Jambos has to be good news for Celtic.

The Edinburgh side went to Zurich and managed to take the lead before a period of madness defensively would see them go 2-1 behind.

The result means Celtic aren’t just taking on Hearts as usual, they’re taking on a side who played on Thursday night and who will now have their eyes firmly on the return leg with a view to qualification.

A 2-1 defeat means the game is still very much up for grabs when Hearts play their second leg. It’s highly likely Robbie Neilson is pragmatic in his team choice for Sunday.

Hearts have got off to a good start in the league and while they want to come to Celtic Park and provide a shock, human nature will kick in. Even if their best XI start, the niggling thought in the back of their mind will be to steer clear of injury so they can be ready for Zurich. It’s going to be a major call by Neilson on the day.

Ange won’t be banking on any favours from Hearts and will set up his team like usual.

There are a couple of mysteries going into the game with returning stars like Reo Hatate and Carl Starfelt. Let’s hope the bhoys can make it 4 wins out of 4.

  1. Farts will go out of their way to damage all Celtic attackers and assisting mid’s (like usual) they play most away games as such. Glad The Hoops aren’t playing on their tight midden of a pitch. As they would kick all the Celtic players into their stands via the advertising boards.

It’s like Celtic playing Racing Club back in the sixties at tynie to them, and their cut price Sevco fans.
