LEIGH GRIFFITHS looks to be on the wind up tonight with the striker aiming a cheeky message at the supporters and pundits that wanted to see the player banned.

Griffiths foot was grabbed by Sam Woods and when he tried to get out of the way his foot naturally came down after the player had tugged it. Griff can be seen shifting the weight onto his left leg so he’s not hurting Woods with his studs.

However, the hyperbole in the press surrounding the incident reached fever pitch with Ally McCoist claiming had Alfredo Morelos done it, he would have been sent off. The only problem with that being he has done it, blatantly and with malice, but still didn’t get sent off.

This was a nothing incident many people wanted to make a big use of. Maybe it’s because they’re upset about how the league table is looking.

Leigh posted this picture this evening with the tag line ‘today is a good day’ after the SFA also agreed there was nothing to be cited for.
