Celtic midfielder Tom Rogić has been omitted from Australia’s world cup squad due to injury.
The 21 year old hopes of playing in his first World Cup finals were dashed due to a nagging groin injury that he’s had since last season.
The young Celt who was out on-loan at Melbourne Victory in the second half of last season will be absolutely gutted to miss out on the trip to Brasil. The only positive is that he is still very young and may yet feature at a World cup in the future for the Socceroos.
Rogić has struggled to break into the Celtic team during his time in Glasgow. It remains to be seen if he will stay with Celtic next season – we wont really know until a new manager is installed.
