Celtic fans have been waiting patiently to find out the outcome of talks between their midfielder and an unnamed club from Qatar. Sky Sports reporter Anthony Joseph has confirmed this afternoon the deal will NOT be going ahead and Tom will remain a Celtic player.
Tom Rogic’s proposed £3.5million move to Qatar is off.
It’s understood the Australian international could not agree personal terms with the unnamed club.
Celtic are happy for the 27-year-old to stay at the club, but understand his desire for regular first-team football.

There was an outpouring of emotion when the news came through Celtic he accepted a bid for the midfielder. He has been a major part of Celtic’s success over the past five years and a firm fan favourite. However, he hasn’t had much game time under Neil Lennon.
The Australian wants first team football and while Neil Lennon is happy for Tom to stay, he can’t guarantee him game time. We might not have heard the last of this transfer speculation, Celtic accepting a bid for Tom in the first place should alert clubs closer to home before the window.
