There were media reports surfacing over the past few weeks that Celtic could take a punt on Jack Rodwell after Sunderland offered to rip up the midfielder’s deal.
The 26-year-old who never really lived up to the promise of his early career is currently on a 70k per week deal at Wearside and they’re keen to get him off the books.
However, any links with Celtic have been purely speculation driven, Celtic are not in the market for a player like Rodwell, nor would they entertain even half the wage he’s currently on.
But to put speculation somewhat to bed, it has been revealed that Jack is on trial with Dutch side Vitesse as the player seeks a new start.

Celtic don’t need any of the English clubs rubbish. We should be training our own youth players for to come into our own 1st team. Yes we can make money by selling on those who don’t make the grade but we don’t need the English Leagues leftovers. HH
