MOTHERWELL’S Communication manager Grant Russell, formerly of the STV Sports news team has come out on social media to rubbish reports about Celtic target David Turnbull after Record Sport claim.
On Friday night it was reported that Celtic had a bid rejected by Motherwell for their star player with the Scottish Champions very interested in bringing him to Parkhead.
The Record were reporting the feeling was mutual and Turnbull had reportedly told his friends he wants to join Celtic. According to Grant, who has spoken to David about the interest from Celtic, the player has said nothing.
No, he hasn’t.
I don’t normally speak out on things like this. But this is made up nonsense and it’s embarrassing it has been lifted and repackaged as “news”.

Celtic are chasing the 19-year-old young player of the year but Motherwell want top dollar for their midfielder. Turnbull scored 15 goals in the SPFL last season and has been a real bright spark in Scottish football.
Motherwell have already told their fans it would take a record-breaking fee for them to sell David.
DOEsnt really matter who said what or who didn’t, if we really want him get in and get him early, stop putting in bids of 30 bob , pay the price, learn from last season
