The David Turnbull transfer to Celtic is not ready to leave your headlines just yet and there is always the January window to come.

This morning an article was published that took the players point of view on the failed move. Rather annoyingly the paper wrote that Turnbull will be a dot in Celtic fans rear view mirrors, hinting that Celtic fans have no empathy for the Motherwell player.

This simply is not true, the majority of Celtic fans wish the player a speedy recovery and who knows what will happen in January. The statement from Celtic Football Club also paints a picture of all sides working professionally to get the deal over the line. The player’s agent is the only one who was reported to be trying some hustling tactics.

Rather telling is that the player retweeted the article on from his Twitter account just moments ago. He clearly wants to get rid of the notion that he was holding the club to ransom.

At the end of the day, these are just kids and they need good professional people around them giving them solid long term advice. We have no doubt the Turnbull to Celtic headline will feature in the near future.

  1. What they don’t need is an utterly corrupt media printing lies, which is what happens.
It is very rare to come across a real journalist in Britain or in its tiny colony Scotland.

  2. I for one still want David Turnbull to move to Celtic,I think he is a very good footballer and would be a great addition to Celtic, another mid fielder who can score goals, let’s bring him to Celtic in January.
