Ben Foster and former England goalkeeping coach Dave Watson have been waxing lyrical about Celtic goalkeeper Joe Hart on Foster’s latest podcast.
The pod, appropriately named ‘The Fozcast’ spoke about Joe Hart playing for England and what he brought to the table both on and off the field.
The pair discussed how it would’ve been easy for Joe to fade into obscurity while picking up an easy pay day, but they know that’s never been Joe.
Ben and Dave spoke about the enthusiasm and the leadership skills Joe showed while playing for England. Ben, a former international teammate with Hart couldn’t believe the energy levels from the now Celtic stopper.
Many supporters were sceptical when Hart came into the squad but to be fair, many fans also thought it was a good move. What we got was an absolute bargain for £1m.
Celtic got everything the pair described above. We got another leader in the dressing room, we got someone whose love and passion for the game matches the club and it’s support.
Joe is a major reason why Celtic brought home the SPFL title last season. The Englishman might be getting up in years but he shows no signs of slowing down just yet.
