Ismaila Soro is currently out on-loan at Portuguese side Arouca after being deemed surplus to requirements at Celtic Park.

The midfielder, signed under Neil Lennon, didn’t get a look in last season under Ange and was told his future was elsewhere back in the summer.

Arouca were up against Boavista on Sunday evening, Soro starting the match for his loan club. Unfortunately, his spell on the pitch only lasted 10 minutes before he was given a straight red card.

Soro’s studs on the side of the foot enough to see him get a red.

Celtic fans were initially very warm to Ismaila. The player offered energy in the middle of the park when Celtic looked very pedestrian. However, we would come to realise the midfielder was reckless and was always good for a yellow card in any game he played.

While he does provide energy, his timing and lack of restraint means he can be a liability. This challenge is a sore one, but is it a red card? We’ll let you be the judge of that.
