Celtic colts took on the Partick Thistle colts at Fir Hill on Tuesday afternoon with the bhoys making light work of their Glasgow rivals.

We can’t get hold of an official team sheet but our man Lewis Laird has a rundown of the goalscorers and has even posted up the goals to his social media

Luca Connell got the bhoys off to a great start but it has to be said, Thistle’s defending throughout the game was very poor and you will see that with the goals.

The bhoys did well to exploit the space they were given and pressed the Partick backline into making mistakes, and to be honest they didn’t need encouragement.

Cameron Harper and Owen Moffat the second and third goal to have put the bhoys in cruise control. Harper wasn’t done and showed some lovely footwork to make it 4, but can thank a wicked deflection for taking his shot over the goalkeeper.

The game finished 4-0 with a resounding victory for the young Hoops.

Luca Connell had a good showing pre-season and as we look for a fresh direction to add energy into things for our first team, we should be looking at players like him to see what he can do.

We have a League Cup game against Ross County we hope the manager uses to put in some fringe players to see what they can do.
