CELTIC’S only goal of their match against Real Madrid came from their winger Jota, who started the match on the bench.
Celtic looked to be heading for an embarrassing scoreline, but Jota’s free-kick saved some of the blushes.
It was a typical Ange Postecoglou display from Celtic, who relentlessly attacked Real Madrid despite being a few goals down.
They were eventually awarded after the Portuguese winger was brought down by the Madrid defence just outside of the box and won a foul for his side. The winger, who’s in Portugal’s provisional squad for the World Cup, stood over the free-kick before smashing it into the back of the net.
Just take a look at this strike;

The winger brought a new lease of life to the side when he came on. He probably should’ve started the match, but Maeda put in a decent shift while he was on, tracking back and running in behind the Madrid defence.
