A midfield battle then ensued with both teams pressing hard. Then a superb counterattack that started from Joe Hart ended up with a lovely Jota finish at the halfway point of the first half.

Celtic winger Jota has played a part in 25 open play sequences that have ended with a shot attempt, the most of any player in the UEFA Europa League this season and that was before tonight’s fixtures.
Celtic looked to settle a bit more after the second goal and tried to slow the game down when they had the ball and pressed hard when they didn’t.
Ferencvaros have lost each of their last six matches in European competition, this after a five-game winning start to their European campaign back in July-August. This is their longest ever sequence of defeats in their history in Europe. Halftime and it is 1-2 Celtic, can the Bhoys hold on or go one better?
